Seasons Greetings from Computer Geeks!

29.12.21

It’s been a busy year here at Computer Geeks as we continue our mission to modernise and support IT systems for our clients. From new launches, powering up our team and supporting you to empower a hybrid workforce, 2021 has been a successful time for Computer Geeks.

Christmas is the perfect time to give back, we are proudly supporting FareShare’s emergency winter operation: FoodStock 2021, where they will deliver 1 million meals across December and January. Our donation of £1,600 is enough for 6,400 meals!

FareShare South West forms part of the UK’s largest food charity, FareShare. They save in-date surplus food from going to waste and redistribute it to charities, schools and community groups who use it to create meals for vulnerable people. Lets toast to the last 12 months as we look forward to what 2022 has in store.

We’re launching a newsletter

We know that business IT can be an ever changing and sometimes perilous landscape. So, this year we have put together the foundations to launch a newsletter we’ve called Geekery!

At the start of every month, we’ll be sending Geekery to the top of your inbox. It will include our best insider insights and technical tips to help you forge your way forward on your journey to achieving a secure, modern workplace. We do hope you’ll find it useful and interesting.

Website refresh

This year we have been working hard on our branding and, as part of that, we’re busy creating a refreshed website to better represent our brand and what we do. Keep an eye out for the launch in the new year!

Geeks guides

We’re also creating ‘Geeks Guides.’ These will be showcased on our website and will be short booklets to help guide the reader on important topics in IT.

Powering up our team

Additionally, we have been busy increasing value in our team. 2021 has brought us a lot of change in our team, with a few new faces among us.

In July of this year, Rob Eeuwens joined the board as our Technical Director. Rob joined the team in 2018 after completing a degree in Forensic Computing, becoming Microsoft MCSA certified and progressing through the various roles within IT. In this role, Rob’s involved in all aspects of the solution design and sales process.

We’ve also been increasing our collective value to our clients. We’ve worked hard to gain further qualifications meaning we can better serve you.

Because of this, we felt as though we needed to re-brand our Service Desk and you may have noticed a small difference to our team: we now have a Support Team and a Solutions Team but no need for you to worry, you can still expect the same fantastic service.

Thank you

From all of us at Computer Geeks, we’d like to thank you for your partnership in 2021.

We wish you a happy holidays and a wonderful new year, and look forward to supporting you in 2022!
