We’re supporting FoodStock 2021
This winter, FareShare South West are launching another emergency food operation called FoodStock 2021, donations are enabling them to deliver huge amounts of food to those in need.
Last Christmas, we donated £1000 to FareShare South West, and we’re proud to be supporting FareShare South West again this year by donating £1,600 to their FoodStock 2021 campaign, which will be enough to enable 6,400 meals.
Who are FareShare South West?
FareShare South West forms part of the UK’s largest food charity, FareShare. They save in date surplus food from going to waste and redistribute it to charities, schools and community group who use it to create meals for vulnerable people.
What is FoodStock 2021?
FoodStock 2021 aims to reach frontline charities, schools and community groups who work with the most vulnerable and boost their levels of food. This campaign is more vital than ever, with the cost of living rising, higher energy bills, furlough coming to an end and a reduction in universal credit, FareShare South West are aiming to redistribute food for over 1 million meals.
Here’s their timeline:
