Meet the Computer Geeks at the Business Showcase South West
Here at Computer Geeks, we love to big up Bristol at any given opportunity. Our city is an ever-expanding hub of creatives, tech fanatics and entrepreneurs. And with its close proximity to London, relatively low-cost office space, and status as the UK’s leading Smart City, Bristol has a lot to offer adventurous start-ups. So, it seems fitting that the Business Showcase South West should take place here, and in the iconic Ashton Gate football stadium no less. We’re proud and excited to be attending this year on the 19th of June.
What can you expect at the Showcase?
The Business Showcase South West is the largest free B2B networking event in the south-west, offering 250 exhibitors the opportunity to connect face-to-face with potential customers. And, with over 5000 delegates expected to attend, there are endless networking possibilities across all sectors.
As well as providing a platform for helping businesses to raise their profile, the event offers a variety of learning opportunities through expert-led activities:
Speed networking – professionally hosted sessions designed to help delegates make new business contacts.
Workshops – advice from some of the most celebrated figures in business and experts from Google’s skills training platform, Digital Garage. The subjects covered include sustainable business practices, PR, branding, and many more.
Seminars – covering a variety of innovations and strategies to help build your business.
The event’s keynote speakers include some of the most influential names in business and entrepreneurship. Previous years have boasted prominent business leaders such as Baroness Karen Brady and Levi Roots. And this year’s line-up won’t disappoint:
Mark Wright – winner of The Apprentice 2012 and founder of Climb Online.
Emma Jones MBE – founder of Enterprise Nation, a small business network and business support provider.
Sir Rob McCabe – a local entrepreneur from humble beginnings, now the head of a retail empire.

Bristol boasts a wealth of networking organisations and initiatives, founded and run by experienced individuals from local companies. It’s this spirit of support that drives our community forward.
