We Are The IT Experts

We are, as our name suggests, self-confessed computer geeks

We only employ qualified people who genuinely love computers and IT, so we have a huge breadth and depth of technical knowledge across our business. This means people tend to avoid us at parties, but it’s good news for you, as we bring value to your company through our insight, experience and expertise.

We are very good at what we do, which is why so many businesses trust us to look after their IT. Our clients are a diverse mixture and include Yogscast (one of the UK’s most popular YouTube channels), the European Climate Foundation (a major environmental non-profit organisation), and William Golding (bestselling author of Lord of the Flies). We can help you too, whatever sector you work in.

Meet the Team

Nick Richards (Managing Director) photo

Nick Richards MBCS

Managing Director

BSc (Hons) Computer Science

Originally from Essex, Nick moved to Bristol in 2003 to study Computer Science at University of Bristol. Nick is Microsoft and PRINCE2 trained.

Nick realised that most small-to-medium sized businesses require the expertise and commitment of a full-time IT Manager but don’t have the budget. Computer Geeks was set up to address this requirement and the rest is history.

Nick has experience in all levels of IT Support, from 1st-line Helpdesk to 3rd-line Server Support, as well as managing teams.

Nick aims to deliver a high quality of service throughout the wide range of Computer Geeks products & services, and form strong relationships with all clients.

“Nick has been instrumental in helping us with the planning and specification of what’s required. He very quickly learnt and understood our needs and has provided constant guidance and advice throughout the process, enabling us to work with minimum disruption whilst changes have taken place.”

Lennon Rich

Senior Developer

BTEC ND for IT Practictioners

BSc (Hons) Computing & IT (In Progress)

Lennon has achieved many years experience in IT Support and Web Development in various roles over the last 10 years. This includes having worked in IT Support companies dealing with clients in the education sector.

Lennon is actively involved in supporting youth groups in Bristol, including working alongside James to support amateur dramatics organisations.

“Lennon was an absolute pleasure to work with – always chirpy, nothing was too much, or not ‘within the brief’, and no demand was too silly. He listened to our amends carefully, executed them in what must be record-time (often over the phone in fact) and the new area fitted in seamlessly. We wouldn’t hesitate to call them first for any future digital support we may need.”

“Just a quick note to thank Zak from Computer Geeks for sorting out our issues last week. He was really helpful in correcting a serious issue with our database, that was stopping us from being able to email feature properties to our client base. After Zak’s work, the mass mail through the server is working very well.”
